ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION UPDATE Friday December 16, 2022. Today, the Don Kardong Bridge re-opens on the Centennial Trail between Riverfront Park and Gonzaga University. Next week, the SRTC Transportation Committees will discuss Safety and the new Household Travel Survey, and this past week, Spokane committed to a Vision Zero approach to traffic safety.

ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION UPDATE     Friday December 9, 2022   Next week, a project to update the City’s Bike Parking Ordinances will be introduced to the City Council’s Urban Experience Committee, and a resolution adopting a Vision Zero strategy for traffic safety will be considered by City Council. The Plan Commission will consider Transit-Oriented Development scenarios for the South Logan neighborhood around Gonzaga University.  Spokane County is hosting a pedestrian plan survey regarding updates to master plans, and the Spokane Bicycle Advisory Board is looking for feedback on ranking the City’s upcoming bikeway projects.  Meetings
